ANOWA-EHURAMA FOUNDATION

The Anowa-Ehurama Foundation (AEF) is a women-focused organisation jointly set up by Nana Ama Anowa III and Nana Ekua Ehurama III, the Obaahemaa of Enyan Obontser Odikro Stool & Gyaasehemaa (Enyan Denkyira Divisional Queenmother) and the Nkwosuohemaa of Obontserman, respectively.

OBJECTIVE

The objective policy of AEF is to support proactive young women and mothers of Enyan Obontser ancestry with cutting-edge thought leadership and vocational skills training & the required financial support for them create for themselves viable and self-sustaining economic opportunities through social enterprises development that will directly help improve livelihoods and change lives for the better within Obontserman and its environs.

GOALS


· Transform the social-cultural paradigms and value systems underpinning the high poverty levels in the Obontser Community and its catchment areas.

 

·   Expose young women & mothers to the various economic opportunities available within the Obontser community and its catchment areas and the most cost-effective way of meeting the challenges that come with them.

 

· Identify, train, and support forward-looking and public-spirited women for them to become agents of change to help lift their families and Obontserman from poverty.

 

·   Directly promote the creation of viable, profitable, and sustainable community based projects/programmes and social enterprises within Obontserman by women.

 

·   Help build an enviable advocacy platform on issues affecting women and their cultural and legal roles as mothers as part of the Obontserman’s 10 -Year Development
